Smallville is the name of the small town where the protagonist lives, and later Louise Lane's nickname for Clark. In 1989, the spacecraft that Clark was riding in came along with a burst of green meteorite rain. Since then, very weird things have happened in the town. An alien spacecraft carrying a little boy landed in a corn field with a meteor shower. The little boy walked out of the spaceship and walked towards the Kent couple in a truck that overturned due to the meteor shower. Years later, Clark, the adopted son of the Kents, gradually realized his fate while growing up.
In the first few seasons, Clark had to deal with all kinds of people who gained strength from the impact of meteorite rain, while also trying to hide his special abilities. With the development of the plot, Clark came to Metropolis to help more people as a hero, and completed the test in the final episode to become Superman. He once established a friendship with the young Lex Luthor, but with fate, Lex finally became his enemy.
In the first few episodes of "Superman", the entire plot revolves around the same line: the meteorite affects someone in the town, giving him a certain ability to harm others. Clark promptly stopped this person and saved friends and family.
