Sommersby movie plot

2022-03-17 08:01
After the American Civil War , Jack returned to his hometown after six years in prison. His wife Laurie felt that he was more emotional than before, like a different person. Jack led blacks and whites to grow tobacco together to improve their lives, and people loved him. While Laurie was feeling blissful, authorities determined that Jack was involved in a murder a few years ago. Various indications in the investigation show that Jack in front of him is a teacher who once knew Jack, and the two look alike. After the death of real Jack, he impersonated him. In the choice of admitting to being a fake or being responsible for the murder, he unexpectedly chose the latter, because he is very nostalgic for this fake life, and he does not want to damage people's good impression and emotional loss of Jack.

After reading the introduction, the plot is a bit thunderous, but after reading it, I really feel a bit thunderous.
