The nuanced, striking cinematic approach of "Suite française" provides an interesting close-up portrait of Bousy, a village in northern France forced to host a garrison of Nazi soldiers. At the heart of the film is a certain romance between a timid Lucille and Bruno, an educated, piano-playing Nazi officer, but more enduring than the film's romantic perspective is director Deb's offering of a focal point A snapshot of class society.
