I think overall Jodie Foster is overexerting, rather a bit of a preaching suspect. The essence of American independent films is to show life and let the audience experience the director's intentions. On the one hand, it emphasizes that the biggest lie in the world is that everything is gonna be OK, on the other hand, it emphasizes how important it is to be yourself, and at the end of the concluding speech, it also said loneliness. I want to say too much, but I can't say anything well. PS Jodie Foster is still so beautiful!

20130115jtl everyone has their own regrets, small or large. This is not a so-called mid-life crisis, but like a hurdle that is difficult to cross. We can cover it, but it is always there. A lot of pain may lie in your genes, or unfortunately it may be destined. "All this will be fine", what a beautiful lie. Judy Foster photographed the despair of life and replaced Mel Gibson with Jim Carrey. 3.5

Walter Black: This is a picture of Walter Black, a hopelessly depressed individual. Somewhere inside him is a man who fell in love. Who started a family. Who ran a successful company. That man has gone missing. No matter what he's tried, and he's tried everything, Walter can't seem to bring him back. It's as if he's died, but hasn't had the good sense to take his body with him. So mostly what he does is sleep.

Meredith Black: [reading] "Hello. The person who handed you this card is under the care of a prescription puppet, designed to help create a psychological distance between himself and the negative aspects of his personality. Please treat him as you normally would, but address yourself to the puppet. Thank you."
