The story takes place in a world very similar to our earth, where people's souls become spirits and gods follow themselves. Lilahas lived with her uncle who is the president of Jordan University since she was a child. She is enthusiastic, brave and full of justice. One day Mrs. Coltgoing to the north, hoping Lila can be with her. Curious Lila happily agreed. Before leaving, her uncle handed her a golden compass and told her that only one person in the world could understand it. Lila can not only get the answers to the questions asked from the golden compass, but also understand the mystery of her own life experience. Along the way, Mrs. Colt was behaving strangely, and Lila also found that the name of her missing friend Roger was written on a list of Mrs. Tert! Roger, like other children, was abducted to the far north to become a scientific experiment. Lila found the opportunity to escape and set off to rescue Roger by herself.
