The film is based on real events and is a black comedy set in Sicily, where the Mafia was rampant from 1970 to 1990. The film describes the mafia bosses from a mocking perspective, and extols the heroes who are not afraid and resist the mafia. The film focuses on a boy named Arturo. He lives in Palermo and tries to conquer Flora, the girl who made him fall in love at first sight.
Arturo made a tricky interpretation of his ordinary life experience, saying that it was carefully arranged by God to witness the dark years of the Mafia rampant in Italy in the 1970s and 1980s. When the masquerade party elementary school classmates turned into fairy tale heroes, his idol was the prime minister at the time. The kid loved politics and lived in Sicily. He was always destined to meet upright anti-violent officials and judges, and then he was assassinated one by one. His other idol is Flora, the young goddess in the class, who dreams of bean sprouts in the wave of bombs.
