The Prince and Me Royal shooting

After finishing the filming of the pastoral life, the crew moved to Prague and Copenhagen to prepare to film the royal life of the prince. Many important scenes in the film took place in the royal palace. After a lot of research and visits, the director and production designer decided to imitate a royal palace based on The Kingdom of Denmark's Fredericksburg Castle. This Renaissance- style castle was completed in the 12th century, and the appearance of the building has undergone tremendous changes over the centuries. Among the 900 castles in The Czech Republic, Spencer decided to use multiple Baroque castles for shooting.
From Prague to the Lednice Valdice area to shoot the palace scene. The crew filmed the interior of the palace rooms in the local Valdice Castle, such as the king’s study and reception room, the queen’s study, the prince’s bedroom, and the state banquet hall, etc. In addition, in Ploskovice and Libochovice castles, the crew filmed the Queen’s vault, Peggy’s bedroom, the grand banquet hall and the exterior of the palace, and the prince’s proposal to Peggy was completed in Lednice Castle. In the two library rooms of Strahov Monastery , the scenes of the library of the palace and the council chamber of The Kingdom of Denmark have been completed
