De Niro's Al Capone is awesome, but it's a pity that Capone is a cannon fodder in this movie. Andy Garcia plays a policeman. I always think he will rebel because of different values. Lao Mo's soundtrack was too the main theme this time and couldn't stand it. Why is the lens that pays tribute to the Odessa stairs so familiar? Did you see it in the tenth screening room many years ago?

Although it has many faults: the main theme, the flat characters, the flawed plot... But I still like the simplicity of the film. David Mamet's melodrama setting and DePalma's technical characteristics complement each other.

George Stone: [after Ness has pushed Nitti off the roof and gone back in the courthouse] Where is Nitti?
Ness: He's in the car.

Malone: [on the walkway underneath a bridge] OK, pal, why the mahaska? Why are you carrying the gun?
Ness: I'm a treasury officer.
Malone: Alright. Just remember what we talked about now.
[Malone walks away]
Ness: Hey, wait a minute! What the hell kind of policemen you got in this god damn city? You just turned your back on an armed man.
Malone: You're a treasury officer.
Ness: How do you know that? I just told you that.
Malone: Who would claim to be that who was not? Hmm?
