The Village Props set

Before the filming started, Shamaran approached the illustrator Brick Mason to create a plot board for the film. The two spent months sketching out every scene in the film.
The village in the film is located in a valley in southeastern Pennsylvania. It covers an area of 40 acres and took two and a half months to complete. At that time, there was only one week left before the official shooting began. The craftsmen of the crew built a total of 20 buildings, including a chapel, a school, a bakery, a blacksmith shop, a barn, a greenhouse, a cemetery, a clock tower and the residences of the characters in the film.
Many of the exterior walls of the buildings in the film appear to be made of piles of stones. In fact, these walls are all upside-down moldings. The construction department took the molds on the ancient houses not far away, and then cast them with plaster. And painted with different rock tones. Because the interior space of houses in that era was very small, which caused a lot of inconvenience for shooting and framing, the crew used a movable wall so that the director and photographer could freely choose the shooting angle. In addition, most of the houses built by the crew are authentic enough to be usable.
The crew was also meticulous about the livestock in the film. They not only built a barn for 125 livestock, but also carefully studied the local livestock species at that time. The most common of these was the German cow, which can produce milk and meat. You can even drag and plow the land. At that time, the villagers worked 7 days a week and had to get up at 4:30 in the morning to feed the cows. In addition, the horned Taoset sheep appeared in the film.

Stunning ending. I was looking at Adrian Brody.

3.5, I like the design of this utopia (so it looks like the design in Shyamalan's script is very satisfying), a horror story turns into a love story, the part of taking the drug is too good to play with the mirror of the glass cabinet .

  • Ivy Walker: [singing to her sister Kitty] Baby sleep, gently sleep / Life is long and love is deep. / Time will be sweet for thee / All the world to see. / Time to look around and know / How the shadows come and go, / How the breeze stirs the tree, / How the blossoms grow
