Stunt director Simon Klein led a stunt team composed of 50 stuntmen from all over the world, who had been training for 6 weeks before filming started. In addition, there are 1,000 extras who will be temporarily divided into several groups based on their respective strengths, and the best of them will appear in the battle screen.
To train 1,000 people at the same time, to make these inexperienced "novices" coordinate and uniformly move, this is definitely an arduous task. This task is handed over to the military technical adviser and former British military officer Richard Smay. Deli is in charge. Before shooting the film, Smedley had to teach the extras to act in the same way. The vast majority of these 1,000 extras have never received military training until their actions agree, and the fighting skills required for the film begin to get into the subject.
In Malta, Smedley first conducted military training on 200 extras for about 4 weeks, and taught them the skills of marching at the same time and the correct way to hold weapons, so that they are ready to take part in some small battle scenes filmed on the island at any time. However, once the filming work was transferred to Mexico, the war scenes expanded. Smedley not only had to carry out corresponding military training for the remaining 800 extras, but also needed a more outstanding elite team, who must be absolutely persuasive. , To make the battle scene more real, and also have the appearance of the Mediterranean nation. Finally, Smedley recruited ideal candidates from the sports academy in the Bulgarian capital. One month before the filming started, they brought the show to Mexico and arranged a three-week training session.
