Despair in episode 2
The second episode was really, really, really desperate.
It makes sense to read as consumerism, but my first reaction was dystopia

Suddenly I realized why I have always disliked any utopian novel related to Huxley’s beautiful new world, because that novel raises a question, but Huxley has no answer, because the ultimate hell doesn’t exist, so he doesn’t give it. Out, he couldn't refute that new world. The irony shown by the black mirror is really cynic and uncomfortable in defending the so-called bottom-line dignity. I really hate this soft irony.
