    Character Evaluation

Paul Greengrass' films are well-known in the news   . In the film "Captain Philip", Paul Greengrass shows the heroism of Hollywood in a unique way. And show the real humanity and heavy connotation   .
Paul Greengrass is not only good at spreading plots and cleverly spreading suspense in fast movements   , but he also has flexible scene scheduling   . At the same time, his shots are always popular and acceptable to the public, but also can withstand scrutiny and playfulness   .
The method Paul Greengrass uses in the film is to abandon the light and shadow of Hollywood blockbusters and the extravagant glitz. He uses the hand-held camera and the fragment editing to create the lens impact to achieve the effect of showing the story in a documentary style. Different from the traditional seamless editing, rapid splicing of fragments, and the visual style of the bridge segment have an impact on the audience's visual psychology, giving the audience a sense of reality. He adopts the method of picture narrative instead of narrative in words, and reflects the character and storyline of the characters   .
Paul Greengrass's films under the lens are permeated with his strong personal touch and style. Tension, excitement, terrible calmness or sadness. His excellent sense of hand-held lens makes the film and the tense atmosphere of the characters advance layer by layer, and the exciting and straightforward narrative is far more acceptable to the audience than the deliberate main theme. Very good at manipulating the emotions of the audience, even if you are watching the cruel incident that is slowly advancing, the lens does not only focus on the victim, but also amplifies the mental pressure and complicated inner entanglements carried by the criminal party, and at the same time enables the audience Feel the complexity of the real event and its endless stretch of drama   .

Came to see this movie purely because of greengrass's personal style. This guy who keeps the camera swaying around, and who is so happy while editing. His magic power can make things that are not exciting to talk about very exciting.

Are civil rights leaders right? Who knew that none of the dead were killed by the Republicans? Does the Queen know that the British army is killing civilians indiscriminately, so she won't award her a medal? • Ivan Cooper: I just want to say this to the British Government... You know what you've just done, don't you? You've destroyed the civil rights movement, and you've given the IRA the biggest victory it will ever have. All over this city tonight, young men... boys will be joining the IRA, and you will reap a whirlwind.
