The life and death reading of those choices that affect our lives

When I saw this film , I got almost unprecedented praise . It
is said that the eyes of the masses are sharp.
Of course, I saw some people of various colors
holding on to the tail of the original book
.
Last year's sexual and emotional longings and confusions were extremely real, and
they also had a very delicate grasp of the hesitation that people felt when choosing between right and wrong. The
young Berg was seduced by the young woman Hannah
. After his own sexual journey
, Berg seems to believe that as long as they are together
, there will be feelings between two people,
and this feeling is called love.
This is the youthful dream of an ignorant teenager.
Of course, I want
to meet someone who is older than me in this regard. Hannah
, maybe Berg is unfortunate,
someone who has had emotional experience
has an absolute advantage in the face of an innocent last year. We can see Hannah 's calmness or even indifference
during the summer they were together . Know that Hannah from the very beginning that the so-called relationship between them is more just a game, but sometimes even Hannah's thinking is disturbed by the persistent feelings of the teenager . The characters in the film have appeared several times in their lives. The next most important choices These choices undoubtedly determine the fate of their lives. That summer Berg could have changed the fate of his future life. For example, on his birthday, if he chooses to be with his classmates, his life will definitely not be the same in the future.

Saying this,
I think that I myself once set foot on the
southward train
to a strange city in the middle of the night with a passion Failing to tell Hannah's secret and thus convicting Hannah of a felony , this kind of judgment on right and wrong seems so absurd under the influence of social public opinion and so on, as if our judgment has never been correct . Hannah Hannah seems to be so calm and even indifferent from the beginning to the end. It is the same for others. It is the same for herself. Hannah chooses to speak out in court about her helplessness and indifference to other people's life and death . Give up the only chance to prove that she is not an ambassador until the last moment Hannah chose to die and not to live an unimaginable life after being released from prison. From this point of view, I feel that Hannah has firmly defended her dignity from the beginning to the end. She used to be ruthless and indifferent , she used to be soft-hearted, but in the end, she still kept the self-esteem that others thought was worthless. I feel that after watching the film , the whole story seems to be condensed into one picture. In that summer, an ignorant and innocent teenager and a kind-hearted person But the women with deep hearts are naked and snuggling on the bed in the corner of a dark and dim room

It seems that the two are comforting each other

The movie must have hired an American legal adviser. I feel that the legal part of the trial is quite accurate, and it makes people feel how unfair the original legal system is to the poor who have no access to legal terms/resources. The trial part is the best and most prudent in the whole film, while other parts are too procrastinated and superficial, and I feel that many of the inner emotions expressed in the book have been ignored. The line "Camp is not a university" is wonderful.

Everyone has their own secrets that they don't want to be known, and they can even give everything to keep it, and these practices are often incomprehensible to others~~

The Reader quotes

  • Professor Rohl: Societies think they operate by something called morality, but they don't. They operate by something called law.

Professor Rohl: 8000 people worked at Auschwitz. Precisely 19 have been convicted, and only 6 of murder.

Professor Rohl: The question is never "Was it wrong", but "Was it legal". And not by our laws, no. By the laws at the time.

  • Michael: What are you doing? What is this? Why did you behave as if you didn't know me?

Hanna Schmitz: You didn't want to know me! You could see I was in the first carriage. So why did you get on the second?

Michael: What did you think I was doing? Why the hell did you think I was there?

Hanna Schmitz: How should I know? I've been working. I need a bath, and I'd like to be by myself. Would you please leave?

Michael: I didn't mean to upset you.

Hanna Schmitz: You don't have the power to upset me. You don't matter enough to upset me.
