The Philly Story has been sitting on my hard drive for at least 6 or 7 years, and I don't know why I let such a classic movie sit on my hard drive for so long without watching it. I also opened it once, and I watched it fast-forward, but I didn't see why it came. It seems that a classic movie, no matter how long it takes to watch it, is still a classic.
After watching this film, I have only one feeling, they are just ill. Imagine that they are us or your children, would you still discriminate against them? I hope there will be no more discrimination in the world, as long as it does not hurt others, anything can be accepted.
Impeccable acting by Tom Hanks, genius!

A single wrongful dismissal case? This is also a judgment on whether sexual orientation is wrong, and is homosexuality discriminated against? case. The charm of tomhanks is self-evident. So realistic. . I took a screenshot of the delicate moment with Mai Gao, hahahaha

Even I don't like this theme, but the acting is great for both of them

Philadelphia quotes

  • Joe Miller: Have you ever felt discriminated against at Wyatt Wheeler?

    Anthea Burton: Well, yes.

    Joe Miller: In what way?

Anthea Burton: Well, Mr. Wheeler's secretary, Lydia, said that Mr. Wheeler had a problem with my earrings.

    Joe Miller: Really?

Anthea Burton: Apparently Mr. Wheeler felt that they were too..."Ethnic" is the word she used. And she told me that he said that he would like it if I wore something a little less garish, a little smaller, and more "American."

    Joe Miller: What'd you say?

Anthea Burton: I said my earrings are American. They're African-American.

  • Judge Garrett: In this courtroom, Mr.Miller, justice is blind to matters of race, creed, color, religion, and sexual orientation.

Joe Miller: With all due respect, your honor, we don't live in this courtroom, do we?
