The beauty of debate

"Thank You For Smoking" is a movie that is easy to miss just by reading the synopsis. Through the work and life of a tobacco lobbyist, it shows the beauty of debate: as long as you debate correctly, you can never be wrong. Tobacco, alcohol, gambling, and beauty traps are indeed harmful, but no one can deprive others of the right to choose vulgarity in the name of nobleness. My favorite is the passage of the male protagonist tutoring his son in the composition. The spirit of chasing freedom in the depths of American culture is shining!

I like Katie Holmes, a rare pure type in Europe and America, I was a little excited about being fucked; I'm his father. You just fuck his mom; It seems that there is no smoking scene

Joan Lunden: Robin Williger. He is a 15 year old freshman from Racine, Wisconsin. He enjoys studying history; he's on the debate team. Robin's future looked very, very bright. But recently he was diagnosed with cancer, a very tough kind of cancer. Robin tells me he has quit smoking, though, and he no longer thinks that cigarettes are "cool."

  • Jack: [In Elevator] Did you hear that?

    Nick Naylor: [pause] No.

    Jack: Exactly.
