Uncle Benjamin came out of the old bank clerk's house and
flashed back in his mind, which
made me also have my own idea of the best ending of this movie:

25 years ago, the murderer of the beautiful woman should be a shrew.
——However, Xiaoya San conspired with the beautiful husband, a bank clerk, to create a rape and murder scene.
Because they are in love.
However, when Benjamin was handling the case, he found Xiaoyasan in the photo album and became suspicious, so the bank staff had to go along with the flow and show anger at Xiaoyasan.
In fact, how he didn't want Xiao Ying San to be caught!

In the end, Xiao Ying San was arrested, but by accident, he escaped from prison because of the political struggle.
As a result, the bank clerk and Xiao Yingsan conspired to hire someone to go to Prosecutor Benjamin's house to commit murder.
In order to stop these people handling the case.

Benjamin's colleague, after the alcoholic uncle died, Benjamin and his female colleague were really scared. Twenty-five years ago, he was trembling and dare not pursue the murderer again.
So, the bank clerk and Xiao Ying San found a house in the suburbs and lived happily together all the time.

A serious and captivating thriller, till the end.

The first two-thirds of the entire film reminded me of "Memories of Murder" over and over again, with a twisted ending comparable to "Old Boy." With superb control, the director neatly tells a rather shocking story in a calm way. Plus, that long shot of the court chase was breathtaking, and I've replayed it a few times and still can't figure out how it was done.

    [English subtitles]

Benjamín Esposito: [voiceover] On June 21st, 1974, Ricardo Morales had breakfast with Liliana Coloto for the last time. For the rest of his life he'd remember every single detail of that morning. Planning their first vacation... Drinking tea with lemon for his nagging cough... with his usual lump and a half of sugar. The fresh berry jam he'd never taste again. The flowers printed on her nightgown... and especially, her smile. That smile like the sunrise... blending in with the sunlight on her left cheek...
