For "schizophrenic" type of suspense thriller films, the logic of the whole film is often reversed in just a few minutes at the end. The same goes for "Uninvited". The beginning of the film reveals that the protagonist anna has just recovered from schizophrenia. Back at home, but because of the accidental death of his mother a year ago, he brought out his own memories. At this time, he and his sister alex investigated the true identity of the "stepmother".
The film is interspersed with anna's fantasy and nightmares, which can not only be used as the scary point of the film, but also provide a foreshadowing for the end of the film. When all the truth came out, the accelerated pace also allowed the audience to reduce their doubts about the suspense part of the film. The real murderer was identified as anna's stepmother, but in the end, the "evil" stepmother was killed by his sister alex. It just appeared that Anna's schizophrenia was not getting better, and it was getting worse.
Alex actually died accidentally with his mother as early as a year ago, and anna imagined that Alex was a split-off character. She not only killed her ex-boyfriend, but also insinuated her stepmother with her patient friend when she was hospitalized.
The length of the film is small, but it is flat and straightforward, the rhythm is very bright, and it also has a very brilliant ending. I love this kind of suspense thriller.
