more general

There are two Chinese translation names, one is "The King of Gamblers" and the other is "Genius Game". The former's name is too big, which is a bit eye-catching. The latter is a bit off topic, there is no genius, and it is not a game. Although this film is relatively compact, it is not so arrogant, it just tells the stories of some bad gamblers.

Before Matt Damon played The Bourne, he played a lot of smart geniuses. I have always thought that his appearance is of that kind of stupid root type, no matter how stupid he looks, but he has created so many talented characters, and he is really good at it.

Edward Norton plays a shameless, hopeless, incorrigible gambler in this film, which is disgusting, and the character setting is a bit sloppy at the end.

It's not interesting, a typical gambling movie, watched at Edward Norton, and Edward Norton played a little scum.

I feel more and more a sign of Edward Norton's role in various films

Rounders quotes

  • Mike McDermott: [Narrating] I've often seen these people, these squares at the table, short stack and long odds against them. All their outs gone. One last card in the deck that can help them. I used to wonder how they could let themselves get into such bad shape, and how the hell they thought they could turn it around.

  • Teddy KGB: That ace could not have helped you.

[drops all of his chips onto the table]

Teddy KGB: I bet it all.

Mike McDermott: [laughs] You're right Teddy, the ace didn't help.

[pushes chips towards the center and flops down his cards]

Mike McDermott: I flopped the nut straight.
