good movie but not a good story

I don't know what to say. First of all, I feel that this is a very Asian film, and the pictures are beautiful, but this story always feels that something is missing, too much emphasis on the role of the female lead, but for the one she is passionately in love with It's hard for a man to resonate with me, which makes the whole story's support shaken, and I don't understand the infatuation like Sayuri.

In terms of actors, Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh, Gong Li are outstanding, they make me feel very proud when I watch this film. In terms of acting skills, Gong Li is very good, followed by Michelle Yeoh, and Zhang Ziyi works very hard. Her appearance has helped her a lot. When she played a geisha, she performed that kind of pure feeling and felt very clean. But the impact she brought me was not as big as Gong Li's, because she lacked a kind of tenacity, a kind of stubborn feeling that Japanese people have, but this kind of feeling was felt by the young actor, but she didn't have it. .

What interests me more is how Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi's characters allude to their real-life situations. Interesting very interesting.

I think the make-up and dressing of this drama really like Wong Kar-wai's feeling in the Mood for Love, is it the same person?

In general, the director is very attentive but there are still shortcomings, and greatly praises the photography and art.

It's pretty good for a few women to play together.

Admired for a long time, directed at the three goddesses.

Memoirs of a Geisha quotes

  • Auntie: You are to become geisha.

  • Sayuri Narration: You cannot say to the sun, "More sun." Or to the rain, "Less rain." To a man, geisha can only be half a wife. We are the wives of nightfall. And yet, to learn kindness after so much unkindness, to understand that a little girl with more courage than she knew, would find her prayers were answered, can that not be called happiness? After all these are not the memoirs of an empress, nor of a queen. These are memoirs of another kind.
