embarrassed hoover

The English title of the film is "J. Edgar", which is a bit different.

But for Lord Hoover to come out of the closet unabashedly, there is less subtle beauty. After all, Hoover and Tolson have a lot of scenes in the movie, and their affection is only in a love letter expressed through eavesdropping. It's touching, and the rest of the action scenes are a bit funny.

The most infuriating thing should be the actors' old-fashioned costumes, their muscles are stiff, and they are terrible.

Alas, DiCaprio's figurine is dead. It was embarrassing to see the two of them looking at each other, how could there be any tenderness towards Rose at the beginning.

The old makeup is too terrifying to fail, the story is too complicated and scattered, and it is so comprehensive that it lacks bright spots. I wanted to talk too much, but none of them were well done. It was Chuck Bass's stunning glance that made people's eyes bright. ★★★

J. Edgar quotes

  • [J. Edgar Hoover arrives home to go to bed]

    J. Edgar Hoover: [narrating] The very essence of our democracy is rooted in a belief in the worth of the individual. That life has meaning that transcends any man-made system, that love is the greatest force on earth... far more enduring than hatred or the unnatural divisions of mankind.

    J. Edgar Hoover: Funny how even the dearest face will fade away in time, but most clearly I remember your eyes with a sort of teasing smile in them and the feeling of that soft spot just northeast of the corner of your mouth.
