Good effects, bad plot

When I heard the original cast of Lord of the Rings, I was still looking forward to it. But I didn't expect it to turn out to be such a cliché and low-level plot. I can only say that the filming is really bad, and I'm sorry to the audience.

Objectively speaking, the background setting of Predator City is still very good, the world view is very novel, mobile city, wasteland sci-fi, steampunk, various elements are combined together, which is quite good.

Secondly, the special effects of the movie are also very good. It is definitely a highlight to be able to see a style different from ordinary sci-fi movies, not to mention the moving city. In addition, I am more impressed by the various aircrafts in the movie, which are very distinctive and feel like imitating animals. But the problem with special effects is that the scene is grand enough, but the details are not handled properly. First, there is a lack of detail, and it feels that there is a lack of some subtle fragments to enrich the various models in the movie, including moving cities similar to nomads, and cities in the sky. The second is that many details are lacking explanation, or the information is incomplete, such as the classification of people in London, and the resurrection of people by machines. Talk more, instead of being as uncomfortable as scratching it now.

However, the worst part of this movie is the plot, which is too cliché. The old can't get old again. There are highly similar plots in King Kong. When I saw the second half, I was so bored that my friend who went with me even fell asleep! The plot of the predatory city is a typical plot of the protagonist defeating the villain to save the world, but it is mixed with many elements, such as wasteland, moving castle, machine resurrection, city in the sky, high-tech weapons and so on. But that doesn't change the fact that it's a clichéd protagonist bravely defeating the villain.

All in all, it was a failure to make such a movie with good special effects and a bad plot with 100 million US dollars. And it lived up to those expectations, and did not reproduce the epic sense and glory of Lord of the Rings. However, the world in the movie still has a lot of potential, and the sequels to be made in the future still have the potential to make blockbusters. I hope that the next few films will have excellent works that can rival the Lord of the Rings.

After hesitating for a while, I decided to give a passing score for the special effects inside. There are many scenes showing the city of the wasteland in the long-term view, and every time it is exquisite and breathtaking, and the design of each city scene is not small. Kung fu, but unfortunately if you can spend more on the plot of the picture design, then this film will not be so boring. Yes, this movie is very boring. It's hard to tell if you haven't read the original book, but the edited and revised plots are in a hurry. All kinds of really fragrant plots appear in the movie several times within one or two hours. In addition, the performance of the movie is very tangled. At the beginning, there are various worldview settings. The amount of information is very large but not full. When it comes to the main line, it is too pediatric. Boys and girls save the world. Really, it is too high for children to see the worldview. It's too boring for an adult to watch this kind of bloody feud of half-eldest sons. Besides, the male and female protagonists have no bright spots, and the other characters, even anna fang, are relatively one-sided. The villain really relies on Hugo's acting skills to support it, so this film is really boring.

This wasteland punk, or the steampunk of the post-apocalyptic background, has a rather strange tribute to cyberpunk (maybe I think too much), the protagonist originally wanted to be a pilot (Star Wars), but did not want to become A historian archaeologist (Indiana Jones), and finally, when he made up his mind to return to the ideal of a pilot, he put on a jacket that made people feel super déjà vu (Blade Runner)... The person of this character It's basically a hat-trick tribute to Harrison Ford.
