Milo, played by Kit Harington, witnessed the deaths of his people as a child and was turned into a gladiator by the Romans as a slave. Although he is strong, he has no freedom.
The heroine Cassia played by Emily Browning is the daughter of the lord of Pompeii. She has identity and status, but she is not free. The pursuit from Roman Senator Cusford led her to escape from Rome to Pompeii, but did not expect Cusford to follow him here.
Kit's eyes are definitely the biggest highlight of this film. Dark, deep, as if to speak. The male and female protagonists don't actually communicate much in words, but more through their eyes.
In the stable, the moment Milo stretched out his hand, it touched Cassia's hidden heart. Everything is for freedom.
The eruption of the volcano broke all the rules, freeing Milo and Cassia. It's just that this freedom is so short-lived, it seems like a flash in the pan. They were free because of the volcano, and they lost their lives because of the volcano. At the moment of death, they exist in love and become eternal.
