When it comes to Apple, you can't help but talk about Steve Jobs, and when it comes to Steve Jobs, you can't leave Apple. But the more Apple I see, the less Jobs I see. So when I watched this movie, it gave me such an illusion. The title of the movie shouldn't be called "Jobs". It should be called the history of Apple development, in short, "Apple Biography".
If we are paranoid to think of it as a biographical film about Steve Jobs. Well, our definition of it is a flat film. Because it wants to interpret all of Jobs' life in a small size. With multiple plane fragments split by a silhouette of
Jobs, it reflects the extremely contradictory character of Jobs. The extremely contradictory character has a particularly strong three-dimensional tension. If you use a slideshow like a flat picture to perform, it will be stretched.
When we want to know the real Steve Jobs through film. Then it seems that this most basic wish will never be fulfilled. At the beginning of the film, it was perfunctory by a few brief shots interspersed with pictures of exotic landscapes. Jobs seemed to have heard God's revelation and sent him a proverb. So we were amazed to see the surreal sci-fi plot of the film. Unless the director is insinuating, Jobs is on drugs and hallucinating again. Of course, Jobs himself felt like a man from heaven. His understanding of people will always be the difference between a genius and an idiot. For this kind of treatment, Jobs would say if he was reborn, what a piece of shit.
Then Jobs' college life flashed by in front of us with a shit. In 1976, Jobs entered the Aryan company. He has already had violent conflicts with colleagues over his demands for perfection in design. Fortunately, he met a good boss. in a conversation with the boss. Jobs landed a game programming project. He got the help of his friend Woz.
And there's that classic scam. Jobs' selfishness and cunning were exposed. Swallowed most of the reward. But Jobs has realized that his working career is unsustainable. Many of us don't necessarily have the Steve Jobs style of doing things. If you are keenly aware that your life choices are wrong, you can adjust them in time. For the environment, either we change ourselves to adapt to it. Either we create the environment to accommodate ourselves. Similarly, most people complain about the environment and find it difficult to adapt, and also lack the idea of creating an environment to adapt to themselves. Be content with the status quo, without thinking about advance or retreat. This is what we need to learn from Jobs.
Jobs and his friend Woz started their business. There's actually Ro Wayne, but it's not mentioned at all. Let me understand that this must be a literary film. But definitely not faithful to realism. In the early days of the business, Woz was undoubtedly the real hardware that created Apple. But people who study engineering have always been bad at words, and the worst thing is that they still can't get a girlfriend. Not to mention that Woz is very shy and has some childlike mischief. The two still retain the qualities of freelance hackers who started their businesses in Jobs' garage.
Speeches at wine clubs are both failures and successes. No doubt almost everyone ignored it, and the success was that there was a businessman who expressed interest in it after all. There is a lifeline. Jobbas' negotiating skills won again. It was the first time to produce a product, and there were a few patchwork stragglers. This is Apple's earliest employees when it was founded. and completed on time.
Woz's genius proves that products have a strong vitality. But there was still a need to attract professional talent, so Jobs hired someone to revamp the Apple computer's built-in power supply. Attracting a large amount of capital to promote the development of the company, met investor Mike Markkula. Markkula has played a pivotal role in Apple's development. He was integral to the growth of Jobs' career. He was a good friend and mentor of Jobs. Before that, Jobs did not know marketing, he was only a junior salesman at the time. But what we see in the film is Markkula's close friendship with Jobs. That's all.
Suddenly realized that the film is trying to express the friendship between human beings. Jobs became increasingly indifferent to his former friends. Woz finally felt sad and decided to leave Apple. Jobs was moved by his parting speech. Lonely driving the car on the highway, making a sad roar, showing the tender and sad side of it. In fact, Jobs' ruthlessness was one reason for Woz's departure. But the main reason is the research and development of Jobs' Mac project, which took up too much money from the company. The Apple II he developed did not receive more attention. He is also hardly compatible with Jobs' personalities.
Once again I lamented that the strongest reality distortion field is not Jobs but movies.
Also in the development of Jobs' Mac project, Jeff Raskin's talents were buried without a trace. Just to highlight the genius creativity of Jobs. Finding a completely unrelated actor made Ruskin a very bureaucratic incompetent. The real reason for Ruskin's departure was that he had a different philosophy than Jobs. Ruskin's idea was to come up with an inexpensive personal operating computer. He is also a stubborn old man.
I don't know how the plot is arranged, but this idea eventually became Jobs' idea. And had serious disagreements with Sculley. Then there is the betrayal of Hollywood-style friendship, and Jobs is completely turned against the water by Markkula. Drive out the apples.
Yet Jobs made a comeback. It all came to a screeching halt after a shocking announcement.
From beginning to end, the film wants to portray Steve Jobs as a warrior who strives for the ideal of freedom and a revolutionary who completely resists injustice and tyranny. He was a free-spirited child who did not follow tradition. Reckless. In a sense it is correct. But Jobs' transformation in Apple's growth became extremely authoritarian and could not listen to any opinions. The board's dismissal of Jobs was condoned during the period. The decision was reluctant.
And the film tries to integrate Jobs into the American spirit and Apple culture. The result is to make us see a brighter and gentler image of Jobs. It masquerades other characters for narrative purposes, with a definitional distortion. The tit-for-tat with Bill Gates could have been more appealing to the audience. It is also a take. Tell stories for the sake of telling stories. And deliberately weaken the dark side of Jobs' character.
Although Ashton Kutcher, the actor who played Jobs in this film, has no lack of violent words and actions. But most of them are reasonable, but in fact, many of Jobs' irritability and paranoia are unreasonable, and part of the reason is that others cannot understand. Jobs was a very emotional person. Often burst into tears. But he also has a secret insight into the human weakness of his opponent. He's moody, eccentric, and vulgar, and what he admits today will be overturned tomorrow. All in all, it is really difficult to grasp and restore the real Jobs.
Therefore, the film uses many classic quotation-like lines to express the spiritual world of Steve Jobs with difficulty. will be empty.
Apple's design philosophy is that form should be subordinate to function. The plot arrangement of this film is that content obeys form.
The only bright spot is the 1984 ad that aired at Apple's historic moment. Exciting, surging.
So how do we look at Jobs. Jobs' life covered too much. Some people criticize it, some people praise it, some people despise it, and some people admire it. But we can't deny his power to change reality and his will and passion to change the world. Because he is an outlier that cannot be ignored. A perfectionist paranoid OCD. He takes the ideological realm of commercial products to a new level. The appeal to the team is unparalleled. There is also the simple and unpretentious aesthetic standard he pursues. Perhaps Jobs hoped that he would be remembered as a world-changing artist. But people still end up judging him as a world-changing entrepreneur. Of course, Jobs will not have much criticism of the latter.
He is an extreme paradox, which also shows the extreme complexity of his personality. Will attract you or burn you with your eyes for a long time. With words, it instantly exudes irresistible charm, and it will also suddenly and fiercely hit your heart and destroy you.
Jobs was the catalyst for the computer industry, pursuing innovation, and, conversely, Sculley's failure proved the law that standing still means not surviving.
He is a man who understands the shortness of life better than anyone. In order to shorten the start-up time of the subordinates. It has been said that if there are 5 million people using the computer, it will take 10 seconds more to turn on the computer every day. That adds up to 300 million wasted minutes a year. 300 million minutes is equivalent to the lifetime of at least 100 people. Instead he required his employees to work 90 hours a week. Being able to intuitively judge the ability of employees can completely squeeze the potential of employees. And these employees may have only needed to perform about 50% or less of their ability. You can live a prosperous and secure life.
If you ask me to find an example where the interests of the many can be attracted to the interests of the few. I immediately thought of Jobs. Jobs was a monster to employees. Create the apples that appear. Create electronic technology that amazes us. It changed the computer animation industry, created 3D animation, reshaped the music industry, and ushered in the mobile era. From another point of view, he is loyal to his heart, not mercenary, and striving for ideals is the gospel of consumers.
It was said that arrogant people never succeed, and Jobs would laugh the most. When we think we understand the habit of reality. Reality is also developing in a certain environment, in a certain era, in the direction of our mockery. With people like Steve Jobs out there, make a mockery of reality as we understand it.

5.9 points...As for not? I see it tastefully, and even think that certain parts are nutritious, and I can get a little excited when it comes to sensational things. Probably one has no expectations, two has no presupposition, three is not a fan, four has never had preconceived stereotypes, and there is no psychological baggage so you can devote yourself wholeheartedly. Those who hit one star may hope that this film is a low-altitude microscopic view, who knows that it rushes past high-altitude. The pants play Steve Jobs can only be viewed statically, and it will show up as soon as it switches to dynamic mode.

As a biopic, it is too dramatic, and as a drama, it is too plain.
