The first time I saw this movie was on a certain page of a movie calendar that a friend gave me. The fresh style, natural and authentic atmosphere, needless to say, naturally attracted me deeply. There is an inexplicable Hou Hsiao-hsien style, which I like. "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Another Spring" is a metaphor for life in terms of four seasons. In just five pages, it tells the whole process of growth. ——The beginning is the season of spring when all things are born, which corresponds to the innocent and carefree childhood in one's life. When we first enter the world, all people are born the same. There is no clear boundary between good and evil, and there is no biased view of right and wrong. It is a pure white paper, and it needs the role of a teacher to write the principles of life and the rules of society on it. Everything has to be "learned", learning how the master rowed a boat, learning to distinguish between good medicine and poisonous weeds, and learning to be sympathetic to all things and to know things... The little monk at this time, what he saw and heard was only this temple, his world was only so big, What is planted in, what kind of seed is bred. - Summer is hot, summer is hot and dry. The development of the body and the mind makes the little monk no longer satisfied with the promotion in this small space. He longed to see the world farther, so he often looked far into the distance. The energy nurtured in his body made him warm all over, and he finally stretched out his trembling hands to the towering twin peaks. The master said that this is human nature. Seeing that possessiveness had manipulated the mind of the little monk, the master did not stop it, but only warned him, because he knew that everyone's practice could not be helped by others. At this reckless but enthusiastic age, who is willing to put out the raging fire in his heart and be imprisoned in this few mountains and fresh water. For a moment, he resented his master. In his mind, it was the master who deprived him of the right to love. He finally left, carrying the Buddha statue on his back. Because of chanting and meditating since childhood, he thought he was a devout disciple of Buddha. But what he took away at the moment was only a stone! ——The end of a thousand sails and the arrival of autumn and autumn are after spring rain and summer thunder, bearing huge and full fruits in the frost. The little monk who yearned for a bigger world has returned. He has been tortured beyond recognition by the ugliness of the world, but the master only said "you have grown up". Perhaps this is the inevitable price of growth. He was in pain, struggling, and his eyes were full of desire and hatred... He was miserable. After the battle of life and death, love and hate, he begins to calm down. When I opened my eyes, I realized that there is still beauty in the world. It turned out that the past self was only blinded by desire. Love never leaves. He began to know how to think about life dialectically and view the world rationally. ——Winter begins to accumulate, when all the enthusiasm is extinguished and all things wither, it is also the time when the winter buds start in the meridians. Autumn harvest and winter storage are to save energy after harvest for the next spring. It seems to be a cycle, but it is actually a spiral. In the same person, spring and "spring" are not the same. When I was a child, the master used the stones on his back to punish the little monk, but now, the one on his back is liberation. The real Buddha statue was just a symbol, and the real Buddha was standing in his heart. When he climbed up to the top of the mountains, what he saw was no longer just the "nunnery of life", but looked around, full of mountains and rivers. At this time, the monk became his "master" - the Buddha who was worshipped from generation to generation. This monk has no name because he is each of us. Only when there is a true Buddha in your heart can you be free from sorrow and joy, and when you deal with it calmly, you will be able to achieve morning bells and twilight drums, and gentlemen are cautious and independent. Spring is born, summer is long, autumn is harvested, and winter is hidden. When you become a "Buddha", then look at the practice of the latecomers.
