Wilde's novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray" was made into a movie. Profound, but if you don't have so much spare time, let's watch the legendary "Death Unknown". Because what this film will bring is not joy or shock, it is about evil, heresy, cruelty, horror, filth, betrayal, destruction... enough patience to defuse it, to realize that it is really about destiny fable.

Excerpted part of the dialogue, it doesn't seem to matter, but the context makes people struggle and disgust:

HENREY: People usually die on common sense, waste an opportunity at a time, life is such an opportunity, there is no later, so let your The fire of life will always shine the brightest spark.

HENREY: Time is not forgiving.
B: Some things are precious because they are fleeting.
HENREY: Nonsense! We are withered and scarred because God is cruel and hateful.
DORIAN: Maybe I should dedicate my soul to the devil.
HENREY: To keep you young forever? Very fair deal. With deceitful nonsense, endless spells, books wrapped in baby skins, flaming pentagrams, drinking virgin blood.
HENREY: Dorian wouldn't really want to trade souls, would he?
DORIAN: YES

HAMLET: ...witnessed him lose his sublime reason, like a string of bells and bells, losing their harmony, paragon of youth...

HENREY: Only what is sacred is worth being molested. People are now afraid of their passions. We learn to fear as children, the fear of God or, worse, the fear of scandal, we are taught to live our lives trembling in self-denial, and the truth is that every heartbeat we repress Just poison yourself.

HENREY: Conscience is just a polite word for cowardice.

DORIAN: I can't be so ruthless!
HENREY: It's not being ruthless, it's trying to look ahead, to defuse as much as possible, to transcend the pains of life, to control people's emotions, to relive them... Only a strong-willed man can do that.

John Donne's "Sacred Sonnets": You are a slave, subject to fate, chance, monarchs, and outlaws, with poison, war, and disease, and opium and witchcraft can make us sleep sweetly, more than Your sudden arrival is more effective, why are you so arrogant? After a brief slumber, we will wake up forever, and there will be no more death. Die, you will die by yourself!

DORIAN: Pleasure is different from happiness. I mean, some things are precious in their passing.

Watching this movie reminds me of Mei Lanfang. . . The screen doesn’t say that it is first-rate; the script, like other adaptations, is not as good as the original classic; BEN Shuai’s acting skills have improved slightly, and I look forward to his next year’s Tread Wave
