Nonsense

To be honest, the movie was very psychedelic at first, yes, very psychedelic. From the lines to the plot, I watched it in a daze, but I didn’t want to give it up at all. I still watched it with great interest and wanted to see this wise man. Who did the unruly old man meet, what happened, what was the fetter in his heart... Everything is deeply attracted to me, a half-knowing audience. At the end, in fact, I still seem to understand, but there is a sense of inexplicable melancholy. I still don't have enough experience. I have the opportunity to watch it again in the future.

No wonder it is said that Fellini's filming of Marcelo is all about a man who haunts a decadent sensual dog. Taking a few minutes or a big paragraph alone is pretty sentimental, but in general it's really unbearable

The song is bound to be low, plus the jump of consciousness, it is normal not to like it. The photography and soundtrack are beautiful to the extreme. Behind the exquisite and ruined life, the love and hatred for the “roots” of Rome gradually unfolded in the night and dawn. It is more imagery, a feeling of creation, beautiful, just like Rome.

The Great Beauty quotes

  • [last lines]

Jep Gambardella: This is how it always ends. With death. But first there was life. Hidden beneath the blah, blah, blah. It's all settled beneath the chitter chatter and the noise. Silence and sentiment. Emotion and fear. The haggard, inconstant flashes of beauty. And then the wretched squalor and miserable humanity. All buried under the cover of the embarrassment of being in the world, blah, blah, blah... Beyond there is what lies beyond. I don't deal with what lies beyond. Therefore... let this novel begin. After all... it's just a trick. Yes, it's just a trick.

  • Santa: Madam, I took a vow of poverty. And you can't talk about poverty... you have to live it.
