disturbing in peace

It describes the story after the war, the background is World War II, and there is no big scene of war in the whole process. The calm narrative, the waves that give people may be the explosions of each thunder. With every explosion, at least one teenager leaves the world.

It's an unpopular history, Denmark and Germany. Germany lost WWII. Denmark, which was bullied by Germany in World War II, started a frantic revenge, taking young German prisoners to mine mines, without advanced equipment and systematic training. Whether this approach is right or not is debated.

But compared to flesh-and-blood war films such as Saving Private Ryan, Minefield is equally heart-wrenching in its calm.

The director is Danish.

People, in the face of nations and wars, are but tools.

Anti-war theme. Whether it is the victims of the war or the perpetrators, they will all suffer the pain of the war. These teenagers used their flesh and blood to dig out tens of millions of remaining landmines with their bare hands. In the latter part of World War II, most of the Germans who participated in the war were young people. They shouldn't have to endure these hardships. It was really frightening to watch the teenagers who were blown up on the beach. The karma created by the Nazis still had to be repaid by the Germanic nation, and I admired the attitude and perseverance of the Germans very much.
