As usual, there is still a long way to go

The story tells the story at the end of the 1980s. Although the situation has improved now, more people just stop verbally refuting it, and still resist in their hearts.

Frankly, I am.

I can express myself non-discriminatory in the public sphere, that's okay, I can be friends with people of all sexual orientations.

But, as usual, I haven't done it yet.

The performance is that when I find out that someone's sexual orientation is different from mine, I still have a "huh" in my heart.

For me, as normal, there is still a long way to go.

But I don't know how to get there.

I always like to push myself when I'm on the verge of depression. So I watched the most depressing movie of the year. Despair, anger but never stop fighting, but for a so-called "normal". You cry and you cry until you tihnk you can't cry any more, and then you cry some more.

The Normal Heart quotes

  • Ned Weeks: [to the President's advisor] What exactly does your title mean in terms of our plague?

John Bruno: We prefer not to use negative terms. It only scares people.

Ned Weeks: Well, there's 3,339 cases so far and 1,122 dead. Sounds like a plague to me. I'm scared, aren't you?

  • John Bruno: Do you really believe that anybody in a serious public office position in their heart of hearts or even in their most closeted meetings say to each other, "Hey guys, let's not get too upset about this?"

Ned Weeks: [to the President's advisor] Yes, your boss hasn't said the word AIDS out loud.
