everything is normal

I originally watched the movie just because of the handsomeness of Peacock. After reading the introduction, I was ready to be abused, but I still burst into tears.

Both homosexuality and AIDS seem to have always been discriminated against, especially in traditional places. A movie, the love of two people, and the struggle of a few people, intuitively shows us the indifference and discrimination of the majority in the face of gays and AIDS. That was the case back then, and it is still the case now.

In fact, homosexuals are no different from us. In fact, AIDS patients are also normal human beings. All we need to do is to be more tolerant, more understanding, and more helpful.

After watching the movie, the mood is heavy and depressing. But thanks to all the people in the movie, let me have a feast of the soul!

If it’s for the sake of seeing the basics or to collect a screenshot, then withdraw it. The heavy depression to the end did not give any room for relief. There will only be more and more business cards in the drawer. In fact, it hasn’t changed much until now, hasn’t it?

The Normal Heart quotes

  • Ned Weeks: [to his brother Ben] I am FURIOUS with you! And every goddamn doctor who made me think I was sick to love a man!

  • Tommy Boatwright: You know, I'm very interested in starting some sort of service for the patients. We've got to start talking about them. Also, there are a lot of very scared people out there, and they're desperate for information. I'd like to start a hotline.

Bruce Niles: [to the guy sitting on his left] Who's he?

Tommy Boatwright: Ew! He does not know who I am yet! HE is Tommy Boatwright. In real life, HE is a hospital administrator. He's here to help. And he's a southern bitch!

    Bruce Niles: Bruce Niles.

Tommy Boatwright: Nice to meet you.

    Bruce Niles: My pleasure.

    Tommy Boatwright: You're very handsome.

    Mickey Marcus: He knows.
