The grafting style is not very suitable

The movie itself was pretty good, and the ending was quite unexpected. This family is really messy enough, no matter money or sex (there are actually three romances among the eight women, Khan, the French are really open), it is really better to live in such a family than to die.
But I'm really not very used to the splicing of musicals and movies, or I can simply be as pure as Todd the barber, and I can get used to it with more stage sense. It's really weird to see the male master of the family sing and dance like this when he's dead.
Having said that, the eight stanzas are still pretty good. I prefer the 4 paragraphs of the little aunt, the eldest daughter, the aunt and the beautiful maid

The snow and deer, which symbolize purity, are in stark contrast to the dark human nature that collides with each other. In the closed rooms of this semi-closed hut, no one is innocent, but their songs and dances are based on the theme of true love. How ironic. The ending is a little unexpected, but that's what characterizes a comical sketch.

I always feel that Ou Rong is more like a writer than a filmmaker, and various literary forms are always inadvertently used in movies by him. "Eight Beauties" has the sophistication of a stage play and the embellishment of singing and dancing, but it is absurd but quite self-evident. Despite being in a confined space, the sense of suspense is carried from head to tail. Eight women in one play, the secrets are more than the pearls on the body, and the deconstruction of women is at a glance. Sure enough, homosexuality is the most understanding of women!

  • Catherine: Suzon, I forgot one thing. I heard a strange sound. I looked through Augustine's keyhole, and I saw her standing at the mirror with something shiny. I thought nothing of it, but now I'm sure she was sharpening a knife!

Augustine: You liar! I was holding my mother-of-pearl comb and cleaning it.

    Gaby: At 3:00 am?

    Augustine: Combs never sleep!

  • Suzon: Didn't you say you saw no-one?

Augustine: I forgot. I went for a drink.

Gaby: Or a prowl around Marcel's room! What happened?

Catherine: You'd know if you still slept with Dad.

Gaby: I'm being judged by my own child!

Pierrette: That's why I never had any.

Gaby: Just admit no man ever asked you to.
