We are all Korean

A hundred years ago, we were all a nation, called the Koreans. After a few decades, people living in the north were called North Koreans by outsiders after "self-independence", and people living in the south who grew up drinking milk every day under the "rule" of the United States called themselves Koreans.

Only we, like lost dogs, left the peninsula for survival, and we who left home are the only ones who are still called Koreans. We like to eat deep-fried fritters, but we still eat spicy cabbage and miso soup every day.

Three dogs, dog bites dog, this is the inferiority of our Korean people.

Why is the movie called Yellow Sea? Why did the protagonist float to death in the Yellow Sea? Where does his soul belong?

In 2007, I discussed with my supervisor to do the thesis on this marginal topic, but the material was not enough. This film is atmospheric, violent, cult enough, multi-line parallel and intricate, and the super explosive force is instantly calm; the second is true, I admire the director's meticulousness, and even the north and south dialects are so well differentiated. A Korean road to South Korea is such a tragedy.
