plot disappointment

All three stars for the actor's costume. This costume has indeed gone down in history (it's actually kept in the museum).

I don't like the plot very much. For the sake of drama, the most appalling version in the unofficial history is adopted across the board, and Margaret is seriously objectified.

Margaret is definitely a feminist pioneer, smart, beautiful and independent. Although her bad political luck and her temper made her make some unreasonable judgments, how many women in the Middle Ages dared to fight against her husband and brother at the same time?

The bad reputation of her and the old lady just shows how awesome they are. In ancient times, all women with a little opinion were not all discredited (so I don't believe women like Catherine would use drugs at all, and I also don't believe women like Margot would incest with brothers)

This dense dramatic plot is full of climaxes, but there seems to be no climax.

Queen Margot quotes

  • Margot: La Mole would die for us!

    Henri: For *us*?

    Margot: Yes, for us.

Henri: He'd die for another night with you.

  • Anjou: Welcome to the family Henri; it's a bit peculiar but not that bad.
