I went to Hangzhou to study in April. One night all my friends went out, and I was the only one staying in the hotel. When I was bored, I turned on the TV and wanted to watch a movie to pass the time. After a cursory look at the movie menu, I came across "Charlotte's Web" (also translated as "Charlotte's Web").

I still remember that when I was in college, the sisters in our dormitory all joined the English club. The direct purpose was not to improve their English, but to watch free English movies every Friday night. The first time I watched "Charlotte's Web" was probably in the English club at the university. In the blink of an eye, ten years have passed, and when I came across "Charlotte's Web" again, I decided to relive this warm fairy tale movie, and I couldn't help shedding tears at the end.

I originally planned to write a review after watching the movie. Unexpectedly, just after the movie ended, my friend who lived in the same room with me came back from shopping, so the two of them chatted again, and the idea of writing something was gone. I'm writing again today because I just finished reading the paper book "Charlotte's Web" (this shows how much I love "Charlotte's Web").

E.B. White, "Charlotte's Web"

"Charlotte's Web" is a fairy tale written for children by E.B. White, the most outstanding American essayist in the 20th century. White's text is fresh and natural, full of childlike interest, not only attracting young readers around the world, but also deeply moved adults.

"Charlotte's Web" is about the friendship between a pig and a spider.

Piglet Wilbur is a dead pig born in the spring (the last piglet born, small in size, and often thought to be unable to live). The owner, Mr. Abral, plans to end its life with an axe, but in the small With the insistence of the owner, the eight-year-old girl Fern, the piglet escaped. Fern bottle-fed the piglets until they were five weeks old, when the piglets faced the fate of being sold again. In order to see the piglets more often, Fern sold the piglets to a neighboring uncle.

So Wilbur the Pig made his home in Uncle Fern's barn, where he lived with geese, horses, cows, sheep, and Templeton, a gluttonous mouse. Although there were so many animals in the barn, Wilbur often felt lonely, especially on rainy days, when he could not go anywhere, and the boyish little pig could not help crying. At this time, a spider named Charlotte appeared in Piggy's life, and she expressed her willingness to be Piggy's friend. Seeing Charlotte for the first time, Piggy was more puzzled and fearful than joy. Seeing Charlotte skillfully preying on flies with a wire mesh, the piglet only felt that Charlotte was fierce, cruel, cunning, and bloodthirsty.

Until one day, little pig Wilbur accidentally learned that Christmas was his own death. He was nervous, scared, and cried hysterically. Charlotte calmly consoles Wilbur and promises to find a way to save it. In fact, Charlotte didn't think of any way to save the piglet from dying at first, but since she promised the piglet, she must find a way. After thinking hard, Charlotte finally came up with a good way to confuse humans. She weaved the words "SOME PIG" on the spider web at the entrance of the barn, which made people think that a miracle had come and heralded the unusualness of Wilbur the pig.

Sure enough, Fern's uncle, like everyone who came here, believed it was a miracle. Not only will he not kill Wilbur, but he will serve Wilbur with food and drink, and even take him to the fair to compete in the autumn. In order to keep Wilbur fresh, Charlotte calls on all the inhabitants of the barn to come up with new words suitable for Wilbur. With everyone's joint efforts, Charlotte has weaved "terrific" (TERRIFIC) and "radiant" (RADIANT). Although Wilbur always thought that he was just an ordinary pig, not as good as the words Charlotte wove described, but he also tried to make himself worthy of the name.

In the blink of an eye, autumn came, and the Fern family and uncle's family decided to take Wilbur to the market to participate in the competition. Autumn is the end of life for a spider, and Charlotte will die after laying eggs. She originally wanted to spend the last time quietly in the barn, but Wilbur hoped that she could accompany him to the market, and Charlotte was not worried about letting Wilbur go to the market alone, she felt that maybe Wilbur needed him . After hesitating, Charlotte decided to take Templeton the mouse to the market with the pig. At the fair, Charlotte used her last strength to weave the word "HUMBLE", which eventually won the piggy a special prize.

On the eve of the piggy's return to the barn, Charlotte lays her eggs and waits quietly for death to come. Piglet Wilbur didn't know that Charlotte was about to come to the end of her life. After dawn, she was very excited to call Charlotte back home, but Charlotte told the piglet that she couldn't go back. The little pig cried anxiously when he learned the truth. He was willing to give his life for Charlotte, but Charlotte no longer needed it . In the end, the piglet carried Charlotte's eggs back to the barn safe and sound. The last parting of the two friends was nothing but a wink from Wilbur.

With the help of the miracle that Charlotte wove, Wilbur the pig lived his entire life in the barn. Charlotte's eggs hatched little spiders in the spring, and there were always spiders flying away, and a few spiders staying in the barn. Wilbur the Pig and Charlotte's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are all good friends, but the most unforgettable thing is Charlotte who saved her with wisdom and loyalty.

The reason why I use such a long length to "spoiler" "Charlotte's Web" is because the story is simple but extremely moving. There's no need to tell too many big things, it's all in the story. If I had to sum up the connotation of the film in a few words, it might be:

True friendship is the kindness under the ugly appearance, and the kindness that is selfless.
"Tao people are kind, that is kindness. People know it, the more you think about it" - the appreciation and praise of friends can make us a better version of ourselves, and helping others can also achieve our own value in life.
Finally, love can work miracles!

classic conversation:

"Why did you do all this for me?" it (Wilbur the pig) asked. "I don't deserve it. I didn't do anything for you."
"You've always been my friend," Charlotte replied, "and that's a remarkable thing in itself. I made a net for you because I liked you. Besides, what is life anyway? We are born, we live We died a while ago. It is meaningless for a spider to catch and eat flies all his life. By helping you, maybe I can improve the value of my life. Everyone knows that people should do something meaningful in life. ."
