"Firefly Forest" has a beautiful name.
Spoiler alert ahead
I just watched this animation, and my heart didn't fluctuate much. Is it because I don't have feelings for it?
The plot in the early stage of the animation is too bland, and the dialogue between characters and the speed of the camera seem to be lower than normal in some places.
Tell me about the episodes in the animation that touched me:
1. Silver hits Yingying's head with a wooden stick
2. Grandpa knocks Yingying on the head
3. The fox demon is very cute, and its shape is a bit like the ghost stone in "Pokémon"
4. Grandpa spit out watermelon seeds. Here I am watching it at 1.25x speed, very happy
5. Ying touched the old man's head at the funeral of the monster, thinking it was a mask
6. Yin put on a mask for Yingying and kissed her.
7. The picture is beautiful when the silver dissipates
The animation tells the love story of Hotaru and Gin. Thinking about it from another angle, this is actually a dream (fantasy) of Yingying, which can be imagined but cannot be touched, and the dream is to wake up after all.
Perhaps the most unsatisfactory part of the animation is that the ending is too hasty, the rhythm suddenly increases, and the story ends without the audience reacting. I thought the ending would be that Ying Ying and Yin touch, causing Yin to disappear, but it didn't.
