Civilizations and cultures can live forever

"All writers are egocentric, self-referenced, narcissistic and conceited" but an important tool for writing.

"Returning to my hometown with honor" is an idiotic dream after all. The literati wanted to reconcile with their hometown in their later years, but their souls chose to defect again. Because they have their own ideas.

At first I thought the movie was a satire of Kochi's arrogance, maybe they abused their authority, but in the details I found that the protagonist can be in common with the young intellectual, he is not really arrogant.

Literati is so fragile and vulnerable in barbarism, but culture and civilization can live forever. The ending of the story, the birth of another masterpiece by the writer has already made the film's position clear. The arsenic bullet is my source of inspiration, and I can master the power of holding a pen while I live.

Kochi needs reflection, but what the film is more ironic is the unreasonableness of power and politics (including power in the structure of villagers) to culture.

You know the excitement of life. Received the Nobel Prize from the royal family and the Outstanding Citizen Award from the mayor. You know the awkwardness of life. Sitting on the plane, I heard my name on the radio and recorded commercials suddenly inserted in TV programs. You all know the inexplicable life. You have to buy a wheelchair for a teenager from the same town, and go to an invitation from a stranger. After returning to his hometown, the cemetery where the former residence was used for other purposes has been deserted. You don't know where to put this homesickness.

In a world where all literature celebrates its hometown, this movie is a real breath of fresh air.
