Dutch director George Shruize based on the original novel by writer Tim Crabo
This is a story about two men with strong willpower. How can a seemingly ordinary scholar implement his deviant will step by step, and then dismantle a pair of innocent lovers; a promising young writer, how to persevere in searching for the answer, but suffers horror because of his extraordinary willpower ending.
The plot of the movie is not bloody and violent at all, but many people are afraid to watch it a second time after watching it. Since the disappearance of his girlfriend, the whole film has been filled with mysterious and tense atmosphere. It is unreal and empathetic all the time, especially at the moment when the answer is revealed...
The psychological problems and human weakness of the story statement are quite worth exploring. After you have read it, you might as well think about it: What if you are Rex? Apart from accepting the unknown destiny, is there any other choice? He broke the casserole and asked whether his willpower has won him salvation?
Haha, after watching this film, I was really terrified with goose bumps. I couldn't calm down for a long time. I haven't seen such a wonderful stuff for a long time. It seems to be better than the Japanese psychological hints.
If I were Rex, I would do it, and maybe everyone who believes in love would do it.
