One day, a group of humans from Tabard (TUMBBAD, place name) discovered the existence of Hasta and his secrets. They built temples and statues at his residence, and they have continuously obtained his endless from Hasta. Treasure.
From that day on, the gods were furious, and Tabad was rainy.
2. Hasta's gifts and curses
In 1918, the humans who knew how to obtain Hasta’s treasure in Tabard Village were left with only a noble old man and an old man’s undead grandmother.
Strangely, the old man didn't seem to claim the treasure from Hasta. He spent all the inheritance left by his ancestors, and the temple as a residence became extremely dilapidated. So much so that the affairs of Hasta became more like a legend than a real existence.

In 1933 , after becoming an adult, poor Vinayak still insisted on returning from Pune to his hometown of De Bata to find the treasure. He returned to his grandma's house and found that grandma's body was rotten, but the heart was still there. Beating, it turns out that the legend is true! Grandma told him how to obtain the treasure, on the condition that she was burned to death after listening. The womb of the goddess of prosperity was originally under the temple. Things that fall on the ground are quickly absorbed by the uterus, so leave the womb before the flour disappears and Hasta finishes eating, or you will become Hasta's food. After listening to Vinayak, she burned her as grandma's wish, and according to her instructions, quickly became rich by the "favors" from Hasta.
In 1947 , India became independent and the government wanted to confiscate the temple. The greedy Vinayak decided to take an adventure with his 14-year-old son before the temple was confiscated, and through cooperation to snatch Hasta's pockets, which can generate unlimited gold coins. They only took one piece of bread each time, but this time they took countless ones. They wanted the two to cooperate, one of them kept throwing bread, so as to infinitely divert Hasta’s attention, and the other went to untie Hasta’s pockets. .
Unexpectedly, one bread attracts a Hasta, and countless breads attracts an innumerable Hasta.
The humans who died and were eaten here turned into Hasta in the end.
It turns out that every time I see Hasta's pockets are full of gold coins, it's not because Hasta is infinite, but because Hasta is infinite.
It turns out that grandma looks half-human, half-ghost, hungry to eat people, and can live forever, because she was bitten by Hasta for greed and became half Hasta!
It turned out that greed ended up like this, but Vinayak and his son woke up too late, and at this moment they were besieged by countless Hasta.
In order to save his son, Vinayak sacrificed himself as bait and ended the lives of the Hastas with flour.
Vinayak was bitten, and when he almost turned into Hasta's appearance, he handed his son the purse snatched from Hasta. The son was not greedy this time, and he threw it at his father and his pockets on fire.
When the fire spread all over Vinayak, there was a trace of reason, he looked up to the sky and smiled happily. Now, he finally understands why his grandma insisted on burning herself to death. Now, this generational curse that shouldn't last any longer will finally come to an end.
The rain in Tabard stopped.

Behind this horror story bearing the special cultural background of a special country, it actually reflects the indelible and filled desire of man. The Goddess of Prosperity gave birth to 160 million gods, which is actually each of us. The greedy Hasta is the greed in each of us.
In the story, Vinayak's mother and son finally escaped bad luck because they gave up their greed.
