I don’t have one of my favorite gay movies

"The Beautiful Things" is my favorite gay-themed movie, not one of them.
First of all, look at the year. The 1996 movie is not like it is now. All kinds of gay-themed things are used to support gimmicks. It seems that it is not fashionable or literary if it is not linked to gay. Making such a movie in 1996 is a real deal. Telling stories about same-sex themes.
Second, as long as it is a movie that is linked to gay themes, it can be said that 99% are full of negative energy. What is the use of comrades to reflect the dark side of society, human nature is distorted, various prejudices, and male-male relations. Third People, religious issues, unidentified transgender sexuality, Balabala... Only this "Good Thing" avoids all the bad things that may happen between gays, and tells a pure and flying first love story. It’s like a breeze blowing away all the depression in my heart. Life can be so beautiful. In the end, I’m drunk by dancing in circles downstairs...
Third, this soundtrack is really interesting. I only used the music of mama cass alone. I filled up the BGM of the whole film, and I was really lazy to think about it, but it is so magical that it feels extremely harmonious. For this reason, I also bought a mama cass disc... It’s enough...

Anyway, this movie is really good. Very, very good. After so many years, it is still the no.1 in my heart.

Really rude and lovely mother, plus pure and simple love, I add one more star.

This is a warm film, no grandstanding, no show off skills, even John Altman's suite seems a bit heavy for two young people who have not yet been involved in the world, this is just the story of two boys falling in love and coming out of the closet, perhaps this first love is called It's not perfect, and it's not shocking, but it's like the silence when two people dance together. This kind of love is powerful enough.

Sandra: Jamie, don't make me out to be thick.

    Jamie: Who was he then?

Sandra: He painted the Sixteenth Chapel.

  • Leah: Don't suppose you've got any jobs in your new pub?

Sandra: No. But if I ever do turn it into a brothel I'll get back to you, ok?
