The rebellion and disguise of postmodern humans

Janet, a middle-aged woman who was promoted to Minister of Health, Bill, a university professor with cancer, Godfried spiritual teacher, and his realist wife Apollo, Martha, who is in a strong position in a same-sex relationship, and pregnant through IVF Gini with three children, Tom the delirious addict, and Marianne who hasn't shown her face the whole time. A party celebrating Janet’s promotion brought these people together, testing, provoking, and dealing with each other in a narrow space until the secret was broken. This film won the Best of the Golden Bear at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival. The "Party" nominated by the film reveals the absurdity of people's survival by showing huge conflicts... 01 At the beginning of the main plot film, the door is opened, the short-haired woman (Janet) raises the gun, and the black muzzle is facing the audience. Then, the camera turned and the music played, Bill (Janet's husband) curled up in the chair, looking out the door with empty eyes. Janet’s cellphone ringing while cooking in the kitchen kept ringing. Guests arrived one after another. Apollo (friend Janet) and her husband Gofried started quarreling right after they walked in. As soon as Gini (friend Janet) entered the house, they couldn't wait to see Martha (Gini's gay) and told her that she was pregnant. After hearing the news of the three children, Tom (husband of Janet's friend Marianne) in a suit and shoes locked himself into the bathroom as soon as he entered the house, took out his pistol and put it back in. The conflict began to appear. When seven people appeared in the living room at the same time, the first turning point occurred in the conversation-Bill announced to everyone that he had cancer. The behavior of each role became intense, Janet expressed that she was sad and offered to resign to take care of Bill. The plot then developed, and several people kept arguing about Bill's condition.  Tom asked Bill why he didn't tell the truth. At this time, there was a second turning point-Bill said he was leaving Janet and staying with Marianne (Janet's subordinate, Tom's wife). Janet slapped Bill in the face, and the atmosphere instantly became very tense. In the violent argument, it was involved in the situation that Bill and Martha used to be together during college. Gini broke out in an instant, claiming to leave Martha. Tom threw the pistol into the trash can, and Janet found the pistol by accident.  A knock on the door suddenly sounded, Janet strode to the door, opened the door, and shouted, you said you love me. The pistol was raised, and the opening scene appeared-Janet and Marianne (Tom's wife, Bill's derailed subject) also had a lover relationship, and it was Marianne standing outside the door at this moment. 02 Technical analysis The movie is full of huge dramatic tension, and more than 70 minutes of fast-paced conflict show more with stage The style of performance. The whole film is close to the camera, the expressions on the faces of the actors are clear and accurate, and the opposing scenes are extremely exciting, giving the audience a hearty impression. In addition, since this is a black-and-white movie, the scenes with hidden colors have high requirements for light, and the exquisite lighting of this movie is undoubtedly excellent, especially in the last part of the huge conflict between Martha and Gini. The proportions and parts of Masha's face hidden in the dark at different moments continue to change with the progress of the dialogue between the two, and the delicate changes in Masha's expression have just rendered the atmosphere just right.  The soundtrack is also a highlight of this movie. There is an article in the "Dougma Oath": "You cannot make sound that is out of the picture, and you cannot make a picture that is out of the sound (unless there is sound source music on the scene, Otherwise, the use of music is prohibited). "This movie strictly abides by this rule. It is set in the plot that Bill likes to listen to music, so the phonograph in the room plays different music most of the time-including jazz, disco music, classical mourning, etc. Not only music. The melody creates different atmospheres according to the needs of the plot, and the act of switching music itself also promotes the development of the plot.  The details of the movie pave the way for the plot on the one hand, and on the other hand it is full of metaphors. In the first soundtrack that appears in the film There is a lyric: "You are going to be a real man," which paved the way for Bill to announce his relationship with Marianne afterwards; Janet watched the dialogue between Martha and Gini outside the window and the subsequent exposure of her gay relationship with Marianne. Forming an echo... In terms of metaphor, the name of the film "party" is a pun, which refers to both a party celebrating Janet’s promotion and a political party; Janet knelt on the ground to comfort Bill and lifted her knees, pulled out and plunged into the flesh. The shards of glass that happened to be scattered on the ground during the celebration of the wine, implying that Janet’s so-called political achievements actually brought her great harm.......  03 The thought metaphor "Party" is bizarre The plot exudes black humor, and at the same time contains complex and profound ideas: irony of British politics, family conditions under the feminist system, the plight and contradiction of gays, the discussion of the meaning of modern marriage, contemporary science and religion Collision, the complex existence of modern feelings. When Janet said the phrase "I feel like I have been chasing a mirage from beginning to end", the absurdity was revealed in her frustrated expression.  This is also the survival dilemma of modern mankind. On the one hand, the emancipation of the mind and the progress of civilization have provided space for the so-called deviant behaviors in the past. Most people have more or less "rebellious" behaviors; on the other hand, the "silent spiral" (see Note at the end of the article) Getting faster and tighter, people have to pretend to be "rebellious" and live "decently" and "freely" in a "normal" life track.     The ending may seem open, but this is a highly closed film. Inside a wealthy family environment, the dilemma of contemporary capitalism is displayed. The artificial form, the false relationship, the inside and outside of each other. Politics, love, sex, beliefs, pistols, drugs, even mystical oriental and vulgar realism, all possibilities are firmly trapped. The choices are all bad, none of the characters deserve sympathy, and that's where we are today.

    Can Chinese-speaking reporters climax collectively? The official storyline is kept secret.
