The whole show gives the impression that the good guys keep encountering setbacks, the bad guys keep succeeding, until the good guys suddenly get rid of the bad guys like this, which is not at the same level as the previous Pillars of the earth.
The reason why I endured watching this drama is just to see how bad it is. Although the whole story is an alternate history, it can't change the history beyond recognition. Princess Joan was so big when the story started! ! ! What about the other kids of Edward III, what about Phillipa of Hainault? ! !
