A Romanian film that won an award is called "CALIFORNIA DREAMIN". The young director who was born in 1979 died early after filming the film, leaving us with this Romanian film called ENDLESS.
The film tells the story of a train loaded with American weapons and soldiers stopping at a small station on the way. In the story, a train station captain who can't let go of the shadow of childhood war, takes his only daughter who has grown up alone. He hates Americans, but his daughter flirts with the American soldier who is standing on the station.
The two generations feel different about any aspect of life, especially the attitude toward Americans.
At the end of the film, the stationmaster failed to stop the Americans' progress after all. He accepted the challenges of everyone alone, and finally died in the siege of the local residents and in front of his daughter. A strong and dignified man lost his vitality in an instant. American soldiers, in the end are helpers, or war makers. No matter what, they are always the ones who win in the end.
Even if we can't control the outcome, we can control our attitude. The death of the webmaster, like Saddam's, is shocking and thought-provoking - what America means to the world.
The ending song is played, it is the familiar CALIFORNIA DREAMIN, the distant season and city, the voice of Mom and Dad, from the United States.
