For a while I always dreamed of subways and elevators, and such dreams were not unpleasant, I just didn't understand why I always dreamed of these two things. As a result, when I saw "Underground Utopia", this once dreamland jumped out again. It seems that my "Utopia" is much more cheerful than this film, at least some scenes are much brighter.
In fact, this film is not like Orwell's "1984", but closer to Zamyatin's "We". "1984" is more of a denial of human nature, while "Us" is a denial of the entire era. In this way, Huxley's "Brave New World" is the most cheerful "dystopia".
The tone of the film is very dark and humid. The red of the hero and heroine and the blue of the shampoo are the highlights of the whole film, breaking the dullness. Just like the maverick heroine in "We". In "Underworld" there is also a heroine who breaks everything, although not as pure as "Us", but the two stories are the same: the heroine takes advantage of the hero, the woman is smart, sensitive, beautiful, and cunning at the same time Symbolically, men are living in this era, and they only care about their own mess.
Of course, as said in the film, in fact, everyone only cares about their own bad things, so men and women are the same - no one in this film is dissatisfied with the times, except for the one who is looking for witnesses who want to prove that there have been spring, summer, autumn and winter. Four seasons old man.
So this is another realm of "Utopia": no one stands up to resist, everyone is used to this stagnant water. This corresponds to the phrase in Chen Sheng's "1989": I have no idea whether it should be separated or reunited.
You see, we are all used to this kind of chronology: 1984, 1988, 1989, 2012, 2024... Should we try to remember now that the world has indeed experienced changes in the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter?
