Who is my LILY CHOU-CHOU

Some life trajectories in a quiet village. They have pure sorrow that is not commensurate with their age. The friendship, affection and love between them, like the perishable flowering period, comes and goes. Reality and virtuality, there is no escape from the reincarnation of fate. People have seven souls, and they can’t come back if they are lost. Philia meets the green cat. In two worlds, in Lily Zhou's music, in the transparent ether, the end of the music is eternal death. I thought this was our youth, but I saw an irresistible gray. When the wheat field turns from green to yellow, and then from yellow to green, when the new season comes, will everything go back to the past, and will the things Yuichi defend remain intact? There are three important

deaths in the
movie about death : strangers on Okinawa, Tsuda, and finally Hoshino.
The death of the tourist provided a reason for Hoshino's mutation. The end of life is so simple, what does it mean to be alive? Is it continuing to hurt? If the prediction is fulfilled, what will happen in September of that year?
The death of the green cat. Philia killed the green cat, an unexpected but unexpected ending. Philia has endured too much pain in reality, those from Hoshino, from life. He thinks that the person who comforts him in the virtual space can comfort himself in reality as well. When he saw Hoshino holding the apple symbolizing the blue cat, his world began to collapse. He picked up a sharp knife, perhaps for a long time, and walked over without turning back, against the crowd, inserting another body of his own, a body belonging to a dream. Hoshino fell, there was no scarlet blood in sight, only the voice spreading in the ether.
Tsuda, my favorite character in the story. The girl who smiled unscrupulously in front of the kite, the girl who washed her soul in the river, the girl who carefully observed Yuichi and said "you protect me" to him, the girl who trampled on money desperately, which pinch with both hands The girl who held her throat back and kept leaning back, she fell on a clear day, and everything on her body fell to the ground. Some people say that what he dislikes the most in the movie is the death of Tsuda, as if they are the most Japanese if they die. That is a crazy and perverted nation in its bones. When the cherry blossoms fall, there is no reason for life, it is better to die. But is it really so? Is this all Iwai wants to tell us? I think death is just an escape, an expression of powerlessness. The dead fulfill the consummation of the living. But when Lily Zhou’s music sounded, shout, shout, scream, just after shouting, life still has to go on, don’t sink.

About music:
Kobayashi Takeshi's music and the film are perfectly combined, as if you did see something in Lily Zhou's singing. Is it ether? The works of Chopin and Debussy are also used extensively in the film, but I don't know much about classical music, and I can't tell which one is Chopin and which one is Debussy. Maybe my ignorance of music will affect my understanding of movies, and I can't help it. Like Lily Zhou's music and "Swallowtail Butterfly", the notes that penetrate the soul. A kind of sorrow is mixed in Lily Zhou's voice, rushing towards you like mountains and oceans, what color of ether is it?

About director
Shunji Iwai, one of my favorite Japanese directors, a director who can find the pure sky in the lens. It's just that from "Love Letter" to "April Story", from "Dream Traveler" to "Swallowtail Butterfly" to today's "Everything About Lily Zhou", the sheer and heavier gray is still pure and uncut. In his world, angels have black wings, but they can't fly high into the sky with their wet wings.

Supplement: Regarding Ether:
A medium predicted by ancient Greek philosophers. After the 17th century, it was reintroduced to explain the propagation of light, as well as electromagnetic and gravitational phenomena. They believe that the ether is permeated in the universe and is everywhere. Maxwell's electromagnetic theory is only established when the ether is used as the reference frame. It seems today that it is a special frame of reference. Michelson’s experiment shows that there is no such special frame of reference, which means that there is no ether in the universe. In modern times, Kang Youwei, Tan Sitong and Sun Yat-sen used it as a philosophical term. Kang Youwei equated "ether" with "benevolence" and "unbearable heart". Tan Sitong used Tai to stipulate many material characteristics and made a spiritual explanation, taking "benevolence", "universal love" and "compassion" as the function of ether. Sun Yat-sen believes that the ether is the origin of matter, and there is no spiritual nature.

Regarding translation:
There are two common names in the movie, "Magu" and "Dobis". Later I learned that it was a matter of translation. Margu was Lennon, and Dobice was Debussy, I guess.
