The beginning of the film shows a murder scene, accompanied by narration, a very fascinating opening. Then the narrator continued to describe a story: a life in which he was born in a big fire, and was miscarried and mismatched. The film only took a few minutes to puff the audience's appetite: this is a suspenseful, criminal, and dramatic story. Next, the film came to the elderly Toto, living in a nursing home, daily routine work and rest, lifeless. He recalled his childhood, his feelings with his father, elder sister, and younger brother, and the conflicts with his little neighbors. The root of this conflict was that he had always envied the wealthy life of his neighbors since he was a child, and he missed it because of a mistake. Later, his father died in a plane crash for helping his neighbors to transport goods, and his sister also died of attempted arson, and Toto angered the neighbors even more. He was depressed all his life, and occasionally met a married woman who resembled his sister. The two fell in love and planned to elope, but he found out that it was the wife of the opponent's neighbor. At that time, his neighbor was already a successful businessman, possessing a mansion, a beautiful wife, fame and wealth he didn't have... His resentment was getting heavier and heavier. Decades later, Toto, who lives in a nursing home, still regards his neighbors as enemies, and finally plans to murder. Before the murder, he met and chatted with his neighbor. At that time, the neighbor's business failed and went bankrupt. His original wife had already left, and he is now being hunted down. The neighbor said what was in his heart, in fact, he has always been envious of Toto's life without so much pressure and freely. At this point, Toto realized that his resentment came from denying himself, he finally opened his knot and died in place of his neighbor. The whole film has been paving the way for Toto's murder motives, but in the end it turns so unexpectedly. This is the real drama.
