The director basically pinned the actions of the Mafia and the people's feelings towards the Mafia on a couple. This is also easier to understand the film.
The passage after the judge's death was indeed quite shocking. The big scenes were organized in a very organized manner. Although it described a chaotic scene, it was very logical in the film.
For acting, I think the most difficult thing is the fusion between people's common emotions and their own love in the context of the time.
