Mediocre fairy tale

I have heard a lot of positive comments about it before, and I expected it, and I released the Blu-ray version, but it’s not as good as I imagined. I feel that it can only be regarded as a very ordinary film. I think the ending is the biggest failure. The first sixty minutes, I think it's a pretty good fairy tale. Telling the story with the old grandma at the beginning is also very responsive, and even the old grandma's legend about snowing at the end is also a fairy tale. But the place where the killing at the end is too bloody and unmatched for a fairy tale movie, ruining the atmosphere of the entire movie. Furthermore, I don't think this movie can be called the climax. In the end, the description of the emotional lines of the heroes and heroines is too detailed, and it does not make people think that this is a main line, but in the end the movie seems to try to make it the main line.
In fact, if it can be arranged into a complete fairy tale movie, it should be very good. Grandpa's automatic pastry making equipment is very cute.

Tim Burton’s best work is actually his short film. Tim Burton’s ability to tell stories in the feature film seems to have declined, but he can express the emotions of the work vividly through the actors and scenes, so in this movie, what you watch is not a movie, but loneliness.

Edward Scissorhands quotes

  • Edward: Goodbye.

    [Kim kisses Edward]

    Kim: I love you.

  • Officer Allen: Will he be OK, Doc?

Psychologist: The years spent in isolation have not equipped him with the tools necessary to judge right from wrong. He's had no context. He's been completely without guidance. Furthermore, his work - the garden sculptures, hairstyles and so forth - indicate that he's a highly imaginative... uh... character. It seems clear that his awareness of what we call reality is radically underdeveloped.

Officer Allen: But will he be all right out there?

Psychologist: Oh yeah, he'll be fine.
