Sword and magic, love and courage, friendship and justice-not a comment

This is not a comment on HP6. Although in fact I don't hate it at all.

Going to watch a Harry Potter movie is not so much an expectation as it is a habit. No matter how thrilling the special effects are, they are not as imaginative as the original text. The progress and changes made by the protagonists over the past seven years are not as good as the character portrayal that has been deeply rooted in the original book.

Yes, what I read is an infinitely beautiful fantasy story that never gets tired of. What I watched is just a magical blockbuster that ended hastily with a skeleton.

Since when did you like fantasy stories? Those fairy tales about sword and magic, love and courage, friendship and justice.

The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Battle of Rhode Island, The Chronicles of Narnia, and even the Sorcerer of the Bean, Dick the Imp, the Wizard of Oz, etc., are the most exciting and imaginative plots in retrospect.

Do you want to escape? Both parents died, and Harry Potter, who had been neglected and bullied since he was a child, found out on his 11th birthday that he was actually a wizard. The four siblings, who had stayed away from their relatives in order to escape the war, hid in hide-and-seek in the closet, but saved Narnia.

Spells, elves, magicians, talking animals, magical continents, the struggle between justice and evil...

Such slightly tortuous fairy tales may not just be reading for children. It is the key to bringing adults back to those simple obsessions and beautiful dreams that have been forgotten.

Faith, the magic power that comes with one's body; fate, a journey full of adventure.

Western fantasy stories are a bit like Chinese martial arts novels, they also tell a world that does not exist. In that world little people grow up little by little, their friendship and love, their faith and bravery, and most importantly, their luck.

Their luck lies in the fact that they can live forever in the world of swords and magic that I desire so much.

Perhaps it is because the capacity of the movie is so limited compared to the wider paper world of books, so that after drastically cutting the original work, the whole movie can't bear scrutiny on the details. The main story is also flat and straightforward, which is boring, unlike the first. The two or three parts are as subtle and graceful as twists and turns. Although the acceleration in narrative efficiency has caused the narrative details to be stretched, with Dumbledore’s death as the central point, the little prince Draco Malfoy suddenly became serious and transformed into the sad little prince as the main plot of the sideline. The emotional intensity somewhat compensates for the shortcomings brought about by the former. Although the strong emotional impact cannot turn the tide and drag the entire movie out of the weak ditch, at least Dumbledore and Snape, the two important supporting characters, can be completed.

David Yates is just a trash director.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince quotes

  • Ginny Weasley: Take my hand.

  • Harry Potter: [after looking at Slughorn's memory of Tom Riddle in the Pensieve, sees Dumbledore] Sir...

[Dumbledore holds his hand out then slows turns away and sits on the step with shock in his face]

Albus Dumbledore: This is beyond anything I imagined.

Harry Potter: You mean to say he succeeded, sir, in making a Horcrux?

Albus Dumbledore: Oh, yes, he succeeded, all right, and not just once.

Harry Potter: What are they, exactly?

Albus Dumbledore: Could be anything. Most commonplace in objects.

[Dumbledore goes to his desk and pulls out a couple objects]

Albus Dumbledore: A ring, for example, or a book.

Harry Potter: [recognizes it] Tom Riddle's diary.

Albus Dumbledore: It's a Horcrux, yes. Four years ago, when you saved Ginny Weasley's life in the Chamber of Secrets, you brought me this. I knew then this was a different kind of magic; very dark, very powerful. But until tonight, I had no idea just how powerful.

    Harry Potter: And the ring?

Albus Dumbledore: Belonged to Voldemort's mother. Difficult to find--even more difficult to destroy.

[shows Harry his own blackened hand]

Harry Potter: But if you could find them all, if you did destroy each Horcrux...

    Albus Dumbledore: One destroys Voldemort.

Harry Potter: But how would you find them? They could be hidden anywhere.

Albus Dumbledore: True, but magic, especially dark magic...

[Harry touches the ring, which spins quickly by itself until it stops]

    Albus Dumbledore: ...leaves traces.

Harry Potter: [after a long pause] It's where you've been going, isn't it, sir? When you leave the school?

Harry Potter: Yes. And I think perhaps I may have found another. But this time, I cannot hope to destroy it alone. Once again... I ask too much of you, Harry.
