We are all Ryan

We are all Ryan
saving the soldier Ryan. The first shot set the tone of the whole film with the howling waves and sea breeze. It is not a fresh light comedy, not a weird suspense film, not a romantic romance, but destined to be. A movie that will shock your mind and body. Then came the shaking ship, the shaking warrior, and the lieutenant's shaking hands. In the shaking, we all felt a kind of tension. They know what is ahead, and they are also afraid. Then there were fierce wars and naked blood type scenes. As soon as the warship was opened, many people were shot by overwhelming bullets. They had not had time to get off the ship, to pick up their weapons, or even to see this so-called significant Normandy beach. They seem so weak and fragile, and in an instant, their brilliant lives are tragically lost. Without any notice, without giving you any chance to resist, this is war. There is a lens here that impressed me. When the soldiers jumped into the sea and then returned to the coast, there were corpses one after another under the feet of those paddling in the water, and the soldiers who rushed forward stepped on the lives of others. I don't like to watch blood type scenes, I don't like to watch scenes that are too nervous, because I am afraid of death, afraid that those living lives will disappear in the blink of an eye. While being attracted by the film, I hide behind my husband to avoid the cruelest scenes at any time. Spielberg was so cruel, showing the most straightforward and tragic death time and time again, as well as the painful squirting, the cry of "mother", the helpless and firm paleness of that comrade-in-arms The encouragement "you'll be fine". The color, sound, and picture are enough to shock any viewer, like me, I can't help but ask why all this is. The soldiers had nowhere to go, and the captain told them that if we didn't rush forward, we would definitely die here. It turns out that when you get to the battlefield, everyone is fighting for a way to survive.
The tragic victory caused a mother to lose three sons. The chief's humanitarianism sent eight outstanding fighters to another front line destined to be sacrificed. The captain can't figure it out, the soldiers can't figure it out, even the audience can't figure it out. The captain didn't say anything, the soldiers complained but moved on, the audience was angry but kept watching. The eight-person squad bears the orders directly issued by the superiors, with inexplicable complaints, and takes risks with their lives. For the first time, he mistakenly regarded another Ryan as the object to be rescued, and laughed blankly. In the church, the captain recalled the 94 brothers he had brought out and sacrificed, and told the excuse he had found for the sacrificed brothers: one died, and ten were saved, so their deaths were all worthwhile. But now there are eight to save one, he only said one sentence: "I hope he is worth it." Along the way, beautiful scenery and life-hanging tension alternate. At the same time, a question about human nature has been tortured in battles. what is the meaning of life? A general’s seat ruined the lives of twenty soldiers; countless nameplates were poured out of the bag, and every individual was left with a name that could be laughed at; after the death of two comrades, is the order still worthwhile? To execute. In the baptism of blood, everyone's life value is being tested.
The climax of the film was the Battle of Shouqiao. A dozen people were fighting against more than fifty German troops, two armored vehicles and a fully-protected machine gun, homemade shells, homemade sticky bombs, and battles from the weak to the strong. The audience was so addicted, it also made our protagonist even more heroic. But is it really worth it? I don't know if you would ask like this, I would, flesh and blood, fragments, what their family would think, are they really willing. Or, in the face of war, there is no time to think about it. When it comes to the battlefield, you can only survive by rushing forward.
The last words of the captain "earn it". The object is Ryan, but it seems to be aimed at us. Are we also the beneficiaries of these wars? Their blood and the blood of our own predecessors are on the ground under our feet. We asked ourselves if it was worth it.

Saving Private Ryan quotes

  • Medic Wade: Actually, the trick to falling asleep is trying to stay awake.

    Mellish: How is that, Wade?

Medic Wade: Well, when my mother was an intern, she used to work late through the night... sleep through the day. So the only time we'd ever get to talk about anything is when she'd get home. So what I... I used to do, I used to lie in my bed and try to stay awake as long as I could, but it never worked 'cause... 'cause the harder I'd try, the faster I'd fall asleep.

Private Reiben: Yeah well, that wouldn't have mattered none in my house. My ma, she would've come home, shook me awake, chatted me up 'til dawn. I swear that woman was never too tired to talk.

Mellish: That was probably the only time she could get a word in.

  • Medic Wade: Only thing is, sometimes she'd come home early, and I'd pretend to be asleep

    Mellish: Who, your mom?

Medic Wade: Yeah. She'd stand in the doorway looking at me... and I'd just keep my eyes shut. And I knew she just wanted to find out about my day - that she came home early... just to talk to me. And I still wouldn't move... I'd still pretend to just be asleep. I don't know why I did that.
