I don't understand myself

I've seen it twice. I don't remember the mood the last time I saw it, but it's probably the same as this time. The word "blockbuster" has always been a very neutral word in my mind. I have summarized the characteristics of it when I look at it. I feel very high. A sense of justice, mission, various feelings and feelings can come to my heart. After reading it, It will be highly evaluated in various ways, but it can't stay in the memory for a long time. The feeling is that seeing that moment is really resonant, fighting for freedom, fighting for relatives, revenge, brotherhood, and matching the background, it is hard not to cry. How can I completely understand "freedom"" What about "faith" and "honor"? However, I cried in front of the computer screen and in the movie theater and felt like a warrior. What caused me to resonate, and what emotion I had was misguided to resonate so that I really thought I understood. Up? Perhaps genetics can explain that many of the things experienced by our ancestors are actually memorized in genes and passed on to future generations. For example, the feeling that people are afraid of snakes and the dark has been deeply imprinted on us from ancient times. Everyone is in the genes. However, this explanation is really difficult to convince me. I could feel the grief of the general standing in front of the relatives who had been abused and died, but after many scenes that made me cry, I didn't quite understand where my tears were afterwards. The music is really top-notch, and the beginning of the Roman legion battle against the Germanic barbarians is also great. The full battle of Rome is a 100% reference to this movie. But the small flaw is that the cavalry still has stirrups.

It's okay, but as an Oscar's best film, the gold content is average, so it's more reasonable to give the best director, although Soderbergh was indeed well deserved back then.

Marcus Aurelius: My decision disappoints you?
Commodus: You wrote to me once, listing the four chief virtues: Wisdom, justice, fortitude and temperance. As I read the list, I knew I had none of them. But I have other virtues, father. Ambition. That can be a virtue when it drives us to excel. Resourcefulness, courage, perhaps not on the battlefield, but... there are many forms of courage. Devotion, to my family and to you. But none of my virtues were on your list. Even then it was as if you didn't want me for your son.
Marcus Aurelius: Oh, Commodus. You go too far.
Commodus: I search the faces of the gods... for ways to please you, to make you proud. One kind word, one full hug... where you pressed me to your chest and held me tight. Would have been like the sun on my heart for a thousand years. What is it in me that you hate so much?
Marcus Aurelius: Shh, Commodus.

Marcus Aurelius: [Marcus Aurelius gets down on his knees] Commodus. Your faults as a son is my failure as a father.
[Marcus opens up his arms to Commodus and gives him a hug]
Commodus: [Commodus hugs Marcus and cries] Father. I would have butcher the whole world... if you would only love me!
[Commodus begins to asphyxiate Marcus while they hug, Marcus grunts]
