[A-] What really touched me in this film is not its luxurious production level, exquisite historical props, simple costume design, texture photography, or the immersive war scenes. What really moved me was when he was dying, stroking the waves of wheat dancing in the wind, looking at the blue-gray sky in the distance, and slowly embarking on the road home under the watchful eyes of his wife and children. To me, those excellent productions are only the surface after all, and the scene where the soldier returns home is the real soul of the film.

Uncle Crow’s temperament can be especially matched with ~Epic~The magnificence of these two characters is really disappointing compared to Robin Hood.

Maximus: Do you remember what it was to have trust, Proximo?
Proximo: [unfamiliarly] Trust?

Maximus: [laughing] You knew Marcus Aurelius?
Proximo: [very quickly and defensively] I didn't say I knew him, I said he touched me on the shoulder once!
